Global recognition highlights Kawasaki Heavy Industries Robot Division leadership in industrial robotics innovation and talent development.

Kawasaki Robotics is proud to announce that Asami Sasao, Senior Engineer with extensive experience developing industrial robot control software at Kawasaki Heavy Industries’ Robot Business Division, has been selected as an honoree for IFR’s Women in Robotics 2026. Hosted by the International Federation of Robotics (IFR), this global recognition celebrates pioneers advancing the future of robotics.

Celebrating Global Impact in Robotics

The Women in Robotics program, established by IFR in 2024, recognizes ten exceptional women each year who are shaping the robotics industry. Honorees are selected from around the world for their impactful contributions to automation, engineering innovation, and the advancement of global robotics technology.

Asami Sasao, who has been engaged for many years in the development of industrial robot control software within the Robot Business Division of Kawasaki Heavy Industries, has been selected as one of the awardees of “IFR’s Women in Robotics 2026,” organized by the International Federation of Robotics (IFR).

This award marks the first time Kawasaki Heavy Industries has received the IFR’s Women in Robotics distinction, recognizing the company’s continued efforts in technological development, business creation, and human resource development within its robotics business, and highlighting their impact on the global robotics industry.
